Bill,

Should be 100lb. The movement up to 112lb did not happen
until after WWII. Can't help on ballast in that era.

  Greetings to all,

Does anybody know (or at least have a good guess) what size of rail
the Q used on it's mainline through Monmouth, IL in the early
1940's? It would also be good to know what ballast was used as
well. I think I'm going to get to start my railroad this weekend,
God willing and the creek don't rise :)

  Thanks,

  Bill Allen
