Per my Jan "65 issue of Ry History, a supposedly complete all-time listing of American frt car bldrs, does not list either firm. Or were these varieties of cars made by a builder of another name? As I recall the 1st Q steel car was an open hopper in the 1890's but believe it was a more conventional mfg.
