Big Foot use to use a tape recorder in Cicero. The times he tried to Hang me.
Story goes about an investigation where the principal sat down in a folding
chair and it folded up. END of investigation and no problems were every heard
again of it.
Chairs were checked then before any one could enter the room.

Pete I dont know what the Q investigations were like as all the ones I was
invited to as a principle or representative were the BN type. I suspect that
they hadnt changed. As my foggy memory recalls there was always a
stenographer (when held at Aurora it was Pat Moon who was a secretary in the
Supt office and married to a switchman). As I remember she took down the
proceedings in short hand.
At one investigation over an AWOL a certain engineer simply told it like it
happened. He took the call for the 10:45PM dinky deadhead to protect a C&I
departure from Cicero in bed at home.Finished what he and the wife were doing
in bed and fell fast asleep.
