Russ, Yes, it was done west of Galesburg. I remember asking an employee in Macomb about it in the late 50's/early 60's (can't pin done a more specific date) and he said they sprayed the rail at least once a year because of the reefer salt with stuff called "Texas 45". It looked like thin tar or thick dirty oil. Nolen Null |
