1953 CB&Q Trust Plate

Last Saturday I picked up a CB&Q trust plate at a hobby shop. It is 
made of stainless steel and is about 12.25" x 3.5". The plate states:

"Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad
Equipment Trust of 1953.
The First National Bank of the City of New York
Trustee, Owner and Lessor."

How would a person find out what kind of car (i.e., Zephyr, commuter, 
freight, ?) or locomotive a trust plate was used on ?
