Tom: I do not need or want old NMRA Bulletins, (many would) but I do
feel that a great project would be to reprint all of Paul Mallery's E&E articles.
This could be done "as is" or could have editorial comments added
to bring any of his concepts up to date by an electronics expert (not me!).
I learned at his feet, and still am learning.
I predict hundreds of these could be sold to NMRA members
who have joined since his articles stopped in August 1981! In
addition, many old-time members would want the articles collected
in one spot, including the fact that many joined between 1969 and 1981
and thus missed many of his better articles.
I am aware of Paul's own books on the subject, but believe that
this from NMRA would help his sales of his later books, not hinder at all.
Since NMRA printed them originally, I do not see any copyright problem.
Cheers,

Dave E. NMRA Life #578.

Rich,

I think we can all understand the issue of tying up the Society's money in Bulletins. I wonder if those of us that are interested in "Out of print" Bulletins would be interested in placing a reservation for a reprint. I know I would prepay for the Bulletins I would like. I would bet that we could determine the viability of doing such a reprint and the planned cost per copy before going the next step. I know I would consider paying a higher price to get those Bulletins that I am missing.

Anybody else that is interested in these out of print bulletins willing to prepay in order to help the society accomplish this?

Tom
