There's nothing wrong with the Athearn Mikado. That's right. But the
equipment becomes better and better and it's the quality makers who are
having success. When I look at the model marked here in Europe, the "Toy
Companies" are under serious pressure. I guess it's the same in the States.
Standards are rising, and for me that's a good thing. Most of us spend a lot
of time with the hobby and compared to other activities, it is affordable.
(Go and get a complete skiing outfit). How many locos does one buy each
year? More than three? I think I am fine with three, but then good matching
engines.
