I've used Testor's Metalizer paint. There are buffing and non-buffing formulations. I've used them on Intermountain undecorated boxcars, and they worked will (aluminum version). I used the buffing type. You spray it on and then lightly buff with a cloth. They took decals very well, and I sealed them with Floquil Glaze, which also worked well. There was an article published on these cars (the PFE aluminum cars) in RMC a number of years ago. Jerry Michels |
